Elen is originally from Artsakh - a region famous for being at the heart of many political disputes. In her depiction of her homeland she portrayed her family with the Mt. Ararat, one of the most famous symbols of Armenia, in the background. Her artwork radiates the happiness and warmth that she associates with Armenia.
